Hope you guys are ok. Things are a bit tense in the maoribadger house atm so not been online here much but hopefully sorting stuff out
Loss for this week 5.5lb! I weighed in after gym and it was actually 6lb but i added half a lb back on for water weight, brings me up to 37.5lb lost now so still on target for a 50lb loss by xmas. Expecting a smaller loss for next cpl weeks now though so am mentally prepared for that

Great loss good on you. I am finally getting over my terrible throat infection. Was able to go for a very brisk walk today, shorter than normal but I am going to build it back up again after my week off and being in bed with a fever etc.
Right now I am looking at what I need to do to control myself during Halloween.
1) Thankfully we live in an appt and get no trick or treaters so I do not need to buy stuff and have it in the house.
2) Making Witches Fingers for my son's class (cookies). I will also take some over to the in laws for them to give to the old folks as one of their deserts after lunch or dinner on Friday so there are less left overs near me.
3) In laws usually give me and hubby a little goody bag as well as Dean. I have allocated calories for that already.
4) I actually do not find it hard to resist my son's goodies as I would never dream of taking his things. But there are some things he does not like or that I will not let him have. These things will be offered to DH first. Anything I do not absolutely love will be in the bin. Since Dean can actually have most things, and the things I prefer him not to have are also things I dislike this should mean I will have not too much to resist.
5) I am making mummy pizzas and mummy hotdogs for supper. I will have a big lunch full of protein and have some veg and dip as a snack before we go out. That way I will have more chance of eating the one of each thing I have allocated.
6) I weigh in on Saturdays. Messing up the day before is NOT an option!

Great loss, Maori! And its good to be preparing for a slow down. We all plateau from time to time, and it's easy to forget how discouraging that is, and how powerless we feel when it happens. It's good for your body to settle in to a new weight zone too. I seem to lose in 10 pound bursts, for whatever reason, but my first 40 pounds flew off. It all works out in the end though, as long as we focus on moving forward and not going backwards.
I love witches fingers. We always make those too. I will work those into my daily calories but plan to avoid most candies. My kids are old enough now that they can manage their own candy so I won't even have to deal with it if I don't want to. We live on a 2.5 acre lot with a hill for a drive on a cul de sac, and there are only 30 houses in my neighborhood so I don't anticipate any trick or treaters here (although it will be our first year in this house). We're planning on going back to our old neighborhood, as it's huge and the houses are close together. I think I'll stop my kids before they get overloaded with candy though.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm writing a separate post about mine.
