I conquered a mountain

Ok it is not a mountain, there is a small town near by that I have never walked to as it is at the top of a steep long (to me) hill. This morning i decided it was time. Honestly I did not realise how close town was. I went through some back roads decided to go up the hill at least part way, saw what looked like the shopping centre's roof so kept on going. And there it was. 10 minutes of 4 mph steep up hill walking has me sweaty and my asthma got bad so had to slow walk for 3 mins at the top going across to another side road, then picked up the pace again for the walk down, which took half the time. I am so excited that I can pop out when I want to now. We are a 1 car family, and anyway I am not legal to drive here so if I want to pop out I have to ask DH who can frankly be a grumpy *kitten*. Now I can just walk...if I can face that mountain again ;)

That is terrific! I'm so proud of you and I bet you're pretty proud of yourself too! Conquering things is so empowering. It is amazing to feel the strength we're building in our bodies and marvel at all these new (to us) experiences. I've very much enjoyed stretching my boundaries again and am glad to here how far your boundaries have expanded! That's so exciting!

Great job! We were a one car family for awhile too and it stinks having to rely on someone else or be stuck at home. Each time that walk will be easier. Before you know it you won't even blink an eye at that hill.
