Good morning all!

I am still off work recovering from surgery and loving it. It's nice to have a break after so long and I am feeling good. I have lost 18lbs!!!! Incisions are all healed up except for the one by my port, that one is still a little tender and I have some bruising. I saw my surgeon on Monday and was cleared for solid food and I have tried egg salad, tuna salad, cheese, chicken salad. Last night I ate 4oz of Walleye and half a Brussels sprout and that was dinner done.

I am also reading a book about protein based diet and I am learning all kinds of interesting things about carbohydrates and I can't help believing in it because....

I am off the Lasix, blood pressure medicines have been halved and all the excess fluid that was bothering me so much is gone.

Good news, Julie! Enjoy the break! How much longer do you have before you go back?

Wow - so awesome! Glad to hear some good news is going around. Been anxious to get bloodwork results back, and some of what I'm seeing, without medical interpretation is starting to worry me, but I will just chalk that stress/worry up to me being me until I hear otherwise... Hugs to all, C
