Hey, I'll join! I'm 47 and want to be fabulous again before I'm 50. I have big goals, like getting back my killer cheerleader body (or least as close as possible). I've been using MFP for a year and lost 50 lbs. I have 50-60 more to go. I'm on my way to lunch now to lift weights. I think its the secret to getting back my curves! Good Luck everyone

HI, I am looking to be fit as well.. It just seems I can't lose weight for anything. But I continue to work out daily and try to watch my food intake. I'm needing to lose about 10-15 lbs. I'm on the edge of my BMI number. Last year I was in WW and was down to 126 lbs. But I gain it back, I think from looking at food lol...I know I can do this just hoping for others to talk to along the way. B)
  • Hi MomWow17!!! Thanks so much for joining. This is a journey like no other. It seems like once I hit 40 gravity didn't just set in... it took over! So I'm on a serious mission to get healthier. I too want my killer high school body back. I ran track-n-field and had legs and abs that would make grown men cry! lol :)

Whatever we can do to keep each other going is what will help us get Back 2 Fabulous! And, I agree, lifting weighs will define your muscles and make your sexy curves say HELLO, I'm BACK!!! :) Keep it going girl :)
  • Hi Connie2858, welcome and thanks for joining :)

I completely understand what you're dealing with. It's so tough when it seems the extra weight is having separate issues with your body. Especially when you're doing all the right things. Do you think you might need to switch up your workouts? I heard that after a while your body gets used to your routine and so you should vary your program or amp it up and challenge yourself. Do you workout with a trainer? I personally don't like trainers but they seem to be useful for some people. Maybe you can just consult with one and they can make some suggestions.

I've done the WW thing too. I was very successful but I also gain all the weight back. I got the flu last year and my doctor told me to take it easy for awhile and that's all I needed to hear! Girl, I could read a cookbook and gain weight! lol!!! :)

I'm confident you can reach your goals. And we're all here to support you along the way! Keep going!!! :)

    Thanks Victory1031,
No I don't have a trainer. I did at a gym a few years back and he nearly starved me to death. He didn't last long at the gym. So I don't trust trainers cause I don't believe they want your best. They are there to make money.
I do try and do things outside my regular workouts. But I fell it just maybe be my eating habits that are keeping me not so fabulous. lol. Thanks for the input. Have a great day.
