I have posted most of this text on my blog, but for those not on my FL who have also been praying...
Some of you will know that my husband and I left our church in February, and have been looking for another one in our area. We did not get that 'This is the one' prompt from God, so have had to choose. We have chosen a church which we had good links with before, and are thrilled to be in regular fellowship again.
Starting a new church has reminded me of some of the other challenges in life, in that it has taken us time to build relationship, in the same way as it takes us time to develop good eating habits. It can also be easy to jump in too much too soon, or hang about on the edges waiting for stuff to happen.
I hope we will get the balace right and know what we should take on, or leave out. We will have to listen for instructions.
I am signed up for a mud run with one of my colleagues in February 2015. I am going to meet with a trainer to get advice on what to do to improve the areas that need it. Again, I'll need to listen, but also be obedient, as otherwise I'll not get the results I want. Hmmm...something about obedience I find difficult....
For both spiritual and physical growth and betterment, I think I'm going to be doing a fair amount of listening, and forcing myself to be obedient...until it becomes 'normal' to do those things...

Sounds like you have an awful lot of change happening right now, exciting and challenging changes at that! Integrating into a new Church is always something I find difficult as I like to say 'Yes' to everything and quickly find myself over-committed. I have recently started at a new church, about a month ago, and I am loving it. I am starting to meet new people and feel comfortable but it does take time.

This Mud Run sounds fantastic and you must really be looking forward to it! I always find waiting in obedience to be very difficult and this is an area that keeps coming up time and time again so I know that this is something that God is asking me to focus on and develop.

It sounds like God is really giving you a lot to work with right now :) Keep praying, keep trying. God is with you and will 'take the wheel' x

I ask for the best of God's Plan for you. You will know when the feel is right. When you feel Jesus is sitting at your side, you will know you have found the right place. It is difficult to find a righteous church in these days. We seem to be living in a time that the Bible and God are forgotten in order to "fit in" with current fashion and political correctness. My husband and I haven't been able to find a church in our area that fits with our standards. We have made our own little prayer study and worship until we do.
