Has anybody been put on this drug, aka gabapentin, and gained weight as a result? Saw the pain doc today. He tells me the med can cause weight gain.
I've been eating more since he put me on it. Not right away, but shortly after. I thought it was my stomach healing, except I wasn't even hungry and the food didn't taste all that good. Despite everything, I can't hold all that much in my stomach. But I ate more than the usual and I've put on weight and it makes no sense to me.
He ordered a refill on my prescription, but I'm going to avoid taking it. I can't risk weight gain.

I have chronic pain but take Voltarin as my go to med. It does help me retain more fluid I think.

I retain massive fluid after flights,,,as in 8 pounds worth. I was hoping it would be a thing of the past but alas no. I have lost 8 pounds of fluid since getting home last Wednesday.

I don't need to take anything most days. The weight loss so far has vastly reduced my arthritis pain. But when I do need something I usually take Aleve and yes my bariatric doctor knows this. He's never said I can't since I fully healed.0
