Hello, I just got a fitbit one yesterday and was trying to read up on the negative adjustment thing and also wondering about logging.

Since the One tracks my steps does that mean I don't need to log in when I go walking but would have to log other things like zumba or cleaning?

And for the negative opt-in... I plan on wearing ym fitbit almost all the time. Just not when I shower and probably not when I sleep since I wasn't given a sleep band with it. Should I leave the negative thing off or no?

Negative on - but you'll probably find you have big adjustments positive even on non-exercise days - meaning your MFP activity level is too low, increase it to better plan your calorie allowance.

Don't log ANY step based exercise, unless walking or running was with steep incline, carrying extra weight, or pushing weight - Fitbit doesn't know about the increased effort.
Only log non-step based - swimming, biking, lifting, elliptical, rowing.

Cleaning isn't exercise - it's increased daily activity compared to not cleaning. But it's not exercise no matter the effort. Fitbit will get close enough estimate.

Read the post right above yours on other suggestions.
