For any of you who remember, I talked about my favorite author suffering from major depression/anxiety disorder. This is one of my favorite writings on it...

I read that second entry yesterday. I understand all too well that feeling of being sucked in. It is great to see someone who is in the spotlight be so open in willing to talk about a mental illness because no matter how you sugar coat it that is what it is. I love the way Wil Wheaton puts it into words and makes it make sense so as I was reading it i was like... I know exactly what feeling you're talking about. I have suffered from depression/anxiety most of my life but have only sought help for it when it became overwhelming after the birth of my first son. I don't know if the depression led to me being overweight or if my weight led to the depression worsening but I have noticed that as I am becoming more active I feel the medicine may not be needed as much anymore.

I love The Bloggess and she deals with depression and anxiety in such a frank way. I relate so much to what she says.

But, I have to confess, one of my favorite parts about her blog is the goofing around she does with Wil Wheaton. If you haven't followed that, I highly recommend it. They're both really good sports and they've done some crazy stuff together. :)
