Hey everyone! I'm Meghan and am a resident of Minnesota. I am definitely needing encouragement for exercising now in the winter. I struggle with getting workouts in because of how cold it is outside. I usually don't want to leave my place.

Hi Meghan! Winter here can be ferocious. Have you tried doing videos, or a subscription service like daily burn? No leaving the house necessary and no expensive gym equipment needed either. But...dose of encouragement...GO!

It's easy to get into hibernation mode here in the winter. On the other hand getting outside on the days when the windchill isn't bad can really feel good. I try to take my dog for at least 30 minutes every day. Now today I won't, the windchill is 20 below! But probably later in the week. I agree there are lots of online videos to workout to. I like Daily Burn and Be Fit (on YouTube).

Youtube is an excellent source of free workouts. I fit in the outdoor cardio if it gets over 20 degrees...otherwise I am indoors staying away from our frostbite conditions.

If you are having a hard time getting out to do a workout, remember, Nutrition is really what helps you get where you are going. Workouts help you get there faster. Find ways to move around as much as possible even if you are indoors and eat at a deficit.

I go to the Mall of America on the weekends and walk for like 3-4 hours, that really helps! That and my gym membership, I would literally be a much fatter grump without it. :)
