Are you eating back exercise calories? Settings?

Forgive me if this is a repeated question (I'm happy to read other threads if you point me in the right direction), but I'm curious what your settings are. I was in my comfortable weight range when I got pregnant. With other pregnancies, I haven't tracked eating and exercise, but just "did my best" and gained upwards of 45 pounds. I do NOT want to do that this time and am blessed with a gym I love and a heart rate monitor to really track my calories expended. I did ask my OB but they weren't exactly helpful.
So, my question- what do you have as settings for your daily calories (maintain, lost 0.5 pounds, etc) and then are you eating back exercise calories?
Thanks so much for any advice/experiences!

Just myself (haven't read link), I set it to maintain. I was eating back exercise calories, but not since I got gestational diabetes.0

I also set to maintain, eat back exercise calories, have gone over quite a few days just because still hungry or now because it's the holidays. Was a normal healthy weight before and gained 20lbs so far at 31 weeks. I'm pretty happy with that, hoping to stay around 30lbs total.0

Exact same thing for me! I set to maintain and will eat most exercise calories, unless I am not hungry at all...0 -

This is what I did. I'm due in less than 2 weeks and I've gained 25lbs. I'm happy with this weight.0 -
Thanks for the sharing esp from mommas that are farther along. I gained more than I would have liked in previous pregnancies but am staying more active than I did before and trying to be sensible in managing intake/outtake without driving myself crazy0

I might be weird but I just set my calories for the 1600-1800 range depending on what trimester (1st I set it at 1600, and now in the 3rd I'm at 1800). I DO eat back my excercise calories.
But for me... The weight gain is not related to how much I eat, but what I eat. I can stay under 1800 calories, but if I eat a lot of carbs, I will gain gain gain. So I have my macronutrient goals set to 45% carbs, 35% protein, and 20% fat. And if I have a carb heavy day, the scale jumps up a few pounds. I'm 36 weeks and have gained 18 pounds (was 20 pounds overweight prior). My snacks are:
- Cheeses like babybel
- Greek yogurt
- Almonds
- Oranges
- Peanut butter (in moderation)
- Hard boiled eggs0
