Best blender/food processor for puree stage?

I am almost 3 weeks out from surgery now and feeling better every day :) This past week I started out on my pureed stage and have tried to avoid pureeing meats because my blender doesn't really get all of the chunks out. I have a nutri ninja and just feel like it isn't the consistency that it should be. Do you guys have any recommendations? Do food processors work better vs blenders? Or would a hand blender/ immersion blender work better? Thanks for your help!

I got a nutribullet to use. The only drawback seems to be that it needs to have some type of liquid added in order to puree, and it won't do really small amounts. However, if you have the liquid & the amount you need, it really purees nicely. As a matter of fact, sometimes I had to stop the process early or it would have been liquid instead of puree.

Thanks Lori! I can only eat like an ounce of meat at a time and about a quarter of a cup to a half cup of food at a time right now depending on how thick it is, my ninja does well with soup. I guess maybe I need to start making larger batches of stuff or adding more liquids.
  • I am also on the pureed stage. I use my ninja when I make a large batch of something. Yesterday I made turkey chili and now I have it in the container in my frig so I can pour out just a few ounces at a time. I also have a small food processor that I can put a cup of something in it at a time. Tonight I blended salmon and then rinsed it out and blended boiled baby carrots. I will eat the other half of both of those in the next couple of days. The main thing is to add liquid to whatever you blend.

Thanks Peggy! I'll have to try the food processor for my smaller portioned items :)
