Can't Sync

Hey guys,
Not sure what I'm missing but I feel like I have tried everything and I can't get my fitbit to sync with my MFP account. It shows up but the steps always remain at zero.

Verify your accounts are connected: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
In the MFP app, go to More > Steps > Fitbit0 -
I had the same problem yesterday, but today it seems to be working although I cannot get any steps or floors to update for yesterday.0
-
Fitbit had problems connecting this time last year. Maybe MFP's servers get overwhelmed by all the new users?0
-
there were problems all day yesterday that could've been the cause0
-
Mine isn't syncing between Fitbit and MFP either. I was just going to post to see if this was just me or across the board. I had no problems yesterday, but this morning's exercise isn't showing up on MFP and my food diary isn't showing on Fitbit. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the sync, but no luck. Maybe it will be fixed by this afternoon.0

Someone had suggested this (I don't remember who) and it actually works.
Rather than unlinking/relinking your accounts over and over again, you can do this instead:
Enter an activity on the Fitbit side. For example, I entered a 15 minute driving activity.
MFP then IMMEDIATELY received an updated calorie adjustment.
Then I deleted the activity on the Fitbit side, and MFP IMMEDIATELY received the new adjustment.
It was explained that Fitbit thinks it has already synched the adjustment with MFP when it really hasn't. So by entering an activity on that side, it forces the sync.
In my opinion, much easier "fix" than unlinking/relinking your accounts repeatedly.0 -

Didn't work for me . I still didn't get the sync at MFP. Boo. Thanks for the tip, though!

Hmm.. that's weird it works for me. Do you have negative calories enabled?0 -

I do! And I definitely deserve one right now, haha. Maybe that has something to do with it. Who knows. Either way, I'll just keep an eye on my dashboard til it's fixed, not a huge deal.0 -
My Fitbit hasn't' synced with MFP since last night. I have been using my Fitbit for about 9 months now and this is the first time it hasn't synced for an extended period of time. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.0
-
Lump me into those who haven't had a successful sync since last night. I've unsynced, resynced, logged out, logged in, etc, etc, etc.
I know it'll come back eventually. It always does, but it's still frustrating since I rely pretty heavily on the calorie adjustment to help me set my eating goal for the day.0 -
Having the same problems as well! Tried everything! Hopefully it will be back up and running soon! Glad I'm not the only person who relies so heavily on it!!0
-
I tried my "Fix" again by adding a fake activity on Fitbit side, and once again, it forced the sync with MFP, then I just removed it and it synced again. It still isn't syncing on its own but at least I can get it to force without unlinking/relinking 42 times.0

Your fix isn't working for me0 -
The fix isn't working for me, either0
-
Glad I'm not alone here. I guess I should just be patient but I like seeing what I'm doing in both places. Hope it's fixed soon. .0
-
The fix is not working for me.0
-
Add me to the chorus of fitbit users not able to sync since sometime last night.0
-
Just to add I've got the same problem too and have tried the fixes listed. Do MFP technical staff not read this? Between this thread and the previous one it's obvious there is a big problem, surely someone can give us an official response?0
-
Mines not working today all of the sudden either.0

I also followed the steps from this link: myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/questions/9905767-fitbit-is-not-syncing-with-mfp
This did not force a sync or solve the problem.0 -

Hey!!! ^^^that actually did work for me! Well, it forced a single sync (which I hadn't been able to do all day through any other means). I remain unconvinced that it will have "fixed" the problem - we'll see if it updates at all during the rest of the day.0 -
I just got my flex on Christmas. I have only received a partial sync on my calorie count. I have not even been able to tackle the activity sync yet. I put all of my food into MFP but it is not transferring over. Also I am confused by the section that says you are under budget and the calories it says you have left.
I have also tried the fixes listed above. Several times.0 -
So glad I found out that it's not just me. No fixes are working for me either.0
-
My not syncing today...figures they updated the app yesterday!! Frustrating..I added my steps and eliptical workout manually and it gave me credit... will try to send a message to the MFP help desk...0
-
I got a response over on the Fitbit message boards from a moderator yesterday. This is what he said:
There seems to be an issue with syncing information from Fitbit to MFP and vice versa. Do know that our engineers are aware and we're working on providing a fix for this soon. Thanks a lot for your patience and please let me know if you have any questions; I'm here to help.0 -
Just posted this on another thread in here, too, but....
Mine is actually working today!!!! Kept working after last night when I followed the tip to revoke access from the Fitbit side and then re-connect from the MFP side. Fingers crossed...0 -

I've done that at least 20 times, doesn't fix it permanently for me..
....because... this isn't a user side issue.0 -
... this isn't a user side issue.
Oh, fully agreed. It's just as likely to have been a coincidence for me, too. But still, if it's working, I'll take it - like I said, fingers crossed that it stays that way (pure luck/chance that it even started again). Hopefully they get it fully straightened out soon.
