Hello! I'm thinking about getting a FitBit Charge HR. I've been using MFP off and on for years, and I also use Runtastic for walking/running outdoors and Runtastic's Road Bike app for bike rides.

Can someone tell me a bit about the process of how I should track things like walking/running/biking outdoors while wearing my FitBit and also using my Runtastic apps? Will it end up overestimating due to double tracking?

Find the other 2 topics created today with exactly this same question as to syncing other accounts.

Non-step based workouts needs to be logged in to Fitbit somehow, manually there, or manually somewhere and synced there.
Swimming would be obvious, but biking, elliptical, lifting, rowing - all have calorie burns that taking steps has no bearing on, so Fitbit badly underestimating.
  • I just started using my fitbit today, I'm hoping its easier to log my food on MFP rather than my "dashboard".

ok so my understanding is that I would sync Runtastic or Road Bike to FitBit's site, and sync FitBit to MFP. Just clarifying.
