Fitbit Zip while using a HRM... please help!

I just got a fitbit zip today and I am confused if I need to take the fitbit off while I am working out at the gym and using a HRM? I dont want to end up double counting calories burned. I got the fitbit zip so I could make myself more motivated to move during the day. My HRM does not sync, so I manually add the calories burned. Do I just take the fitbit off while I workout (treadmill, elliptical etc) and once I'm done at the gym, put the fitbit back on? Thanks for any help!

You can leave the Fitbit on. When you enter the exercise into MFP just enter the start time and duration along with the calories and Fitbit will take care of the rest.0
