Using MapMyFitness along with MFP & Fitbit

Hi,
I've scrolled the forums and didn't see anything posted about this. I fully understand how MFP and Fitbit communicate, but I'd like to know how this works with yet another tracking app.
I love to use MapMyFitness (you can win prizes for logging workouts!). I have all 3 devices connected. How does this work? I'm thinking info goes from MMF-->Fitbit-->MFP because I would think that will enable it all to count but not be double counted. What do you all know about this?

Correct, no double counting UNLESS you sync it to MFP and Fitbit both. Preferably just Fitbit.
So the workout for start time, duration, and calories goes over to Fitbit just like if you manually logged it on MFP. Or if you synced MMF to MFP only, it would go over to Fitbit as same type of workout.
Now it's replaced the Fitbit calorie burn for that time and become part of your daily burn.
That daily burn is now sent to MFP, which compares to what it expected you to burn, and you are given adjustment to the daily burn, and therefore to your eating goal too.
If you want the workout to show up to friends, I'd still suggest sync to Fitbit, and then just make a wall posting about the workout with whatever details you think are interesting, which would not have been mentioned in normal workout record.
Now you can search your workouts in Fitbit, which are mildly better than MFP's Exercise Diary. Though I'd imagine you'd use MMF, since it's designed for that purpose better.0 -

So when I unlinked MFP and MMF, but kept both connected to Fitbit, my workouts no longer showed up in either MFP OR Fitbit. It seems when I had all 3 connected it was actually going MMF->MFP->Fitbit and Fitbit back to MFP. :S
Anyway now I'm trying to just have MMF connected to MFP, and Fitbit connected to MFP, but NOT connecting MMF to Fitbit.0 -
Oh and I know this because before I was logging workouts to MMF, but when I opened fitbit it would show in parentheses that the workouts were imported from MFP.0

The sync between MMF and Fitbit may not be happening yet.
But indeed as I mentioned, you can easily do MMF to MFP only. MFP will get the workout over to Fitbit too.
So if you never saw workouts in Fitbit labeled as MMF, or non-MFP, that sync may never have been working.0 -
Ooh interesting, ya maybe it was not syncing properly. I do think it looks right the way I have it now. On MFP it showed my few hundred calories burned in exercise (from MMF logged), but only had a 25 cal adjustment for fitbit, which sounds about right for not double counting.0

I'm having problems getting mfp to sync with my fitbit account. I just got it on Sunday and it synced no problem the first day....now for two days it logged food for one and steps, then yesterday it only synced over my breakfast and lunch no steps after multiple syncs and app disconnects and reconnects. I figured I'd give it overnight to sync, but I wake up this morning and nothing. I just re authorized it again and no syncing.....anybody have an idea of how to fix this? Thanks0
