Something that really helped me out when I first started was reading about weight loss, fitness, and nutrition. Not "diet" books, but strategy books.

One that really helped me out was "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg. It discusses how habits are formed in our brains and how powerful they really are in driving our behavior. Then it discusses how to break those habit cycles so that you can establish new habits in their place. Really great stuff.

Anyone else have a recommendation for what to read?
