I've never seen a slice of bread as small as a cassette tape. Also, people under 25 have probably never seen a cassette tape0

Interesting article (with lots of pictures) in NY times on portion size - http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/12/22/upshot/what-2000-calories-looks-like.html?WT.mc_id=2015-Q1-KEYWEE-AUD_DEV-0101-0331&WT.mc_ev=click&bicmp=AD&bicmlukp=WT.mc_id&bicmst=1420088400&bicmet=1451624400&ad-keywords=KEYWEEAD&kwp_0=7482&kwp_4=55080&kwp_1=119533&_r=0&abt=0002&abg=1

Wow, Laura. That is a really interesting visual display of what 2,000 looks like. And how delicious do the home cooked meals look? And none of it is difficult to make, either!0

Thanks, Laura! I haven't eaten fast food for a long time, but seeing what translates to 2,000 calories in empty and unhealthy foods is still startling. I agree, Katie--the home-cooked food looks really good; I think I'll go cook something!
