Hello group,

I'm Jager and I've been on MFP for a little over two weeks, but just now dipping into the forum boards.

I'm down 15 pounds since I started and I also do Intermittent Fasting (four normal days and three fasting days). I love to cook and write my own recipes. I'm not a vegetarian, but we do have a tight budget at my house, so meat is a treat for us. I find this to be a good diet for my family. It's what I was raised on too (Great Grandparents from Germany would always complain that meat was too readily available here in the states and only served meat meals once a week on Sundays).

I keep an offline food and exercise diary as well as using the system here on MFP.

So how's everyone doing?

Hi Jagerin, I'm new to the community part of MFP, welcome! Interesting ideas about the fasting. I'm with you about not eating meat as often. Hope you have a great day!

Hi Jagerin, welcome to MFP! I'm also with you about not eating meat too frequently. I grew up with three vegetarian sisters, so I got used to eating meat-free meals although I eat more meat now. And sometimes there is nothing better to me than a good steak! Good luck to you with your fitness goals.

Sorry for the late replies. I tend to forget that I post stuff sometimes. >.<

Thank you both for the welcome. ^^

And yes, sometimes there is nothing better than a good steak. Love steak.

Hey there! I have been on mfp for three weeks but have been logging for two weeks as of today. (Took the first week to look around and figure things out) Down 10.8 lbs so far but trying really hard for 100. Then I will go from there. I am totally with you on the meat thing. I feel so much better when I don't eat meat everyday. I'm hoping to work my families meat eating down to a few days week by the end of this year. Good luck and feel free to add me!
