Week 4 Weigh-in (Jan. 25)

Well, I have finally turned the weight gain around. I have managed to lose 4 pounds this week. It was not fun. I ate well under my calorie goal (but never under 1200) for quite a few days in order to get out of the "shove everything in my mouth" mentality that I had adopted. I also drank way more water than usual (another personal goal of mine). Now I just have to stay around my normal calorie range for weight loss and bump up the exercise. Hoping to hit Onederland before this challenge is up. I am now at 205. I would love to get down to 194, the weight I was before I derailed from my steady progress. However, anything under 200 would be welcome at the moment. :)

@dianastepheny‌ I'm super impressed and need to buckle down again too. I showed a slight gain today that I think will be gone tomorrow but I logged it regardless. Arggghhh. This winter is more difficult for me to stay in a good deficit but I guess I'm learning a bit about maintenance, not that I want to!

Love your attitude, friends! We are living and learning, for sure.

For the first time in over 4 months - yes, four months (!!), I finally seem to be knocking off some weight. I was down one pound last week and then another 0.8 this week. It has taken persistence and pulling back on the excessive snacking of sugary treats - still an issue, but definitely improved. Also, I think my "turn around" is partly due to me paying more close attention to drinking water. My goal is a gallon a day, though I'd say I am reaching that goal about 70% of the time this month. Anyway, I am down this week and holding steady. I can feel a difference. It also looks like I will meet and even exceed my 250 mile goal on my exercise bike that I set for myself this month. Yay! It feels good!

Wishing everyone a great week ahead!

@CumberlandGrammy‌ I think it's such a good idea to set a monthly mileage goal. You are so smart! I'm going to try it for Feb!
Well, I've got something interesting to report. I've dragged my very patient husband onto the floor the last couple nights to do some partner yoga. Just mild, stretching kind of stuff I found online. It's fun! And it gets us off the couch for at least half an hour. Even if we're not burning heaps and tons of calories doing it, we're doing something. I love it.

I am down 1.6 this week. I was close to see a new number on the scale, but it will be next week I think.

I am down a pound, AND just started that TOM, so hope to see more movement as the week goes by! Now to just avoid the potato chips...

Sounds like everyone is doing great! I'm down half a pound. Was struggling a bit over the weekend, so although I'm happy the scale cooperated I'm going to try to refocus (and get more sleep).

Thanks! I am really excited, although I am trying to be okay with it taking a while.

It's going to be weird to adjust to maintenance.
