Hi! I was sleeved on January 19th and so far so good, other than terrible nausea for the first 2 days. I'm also a stay at home mom of 4 little ones and I homeschool my oldest who is in kindergarten. I'm looking for friends for this new journey! I'm still on full liquids and am looking for some yummy recipes for the pureed stage. Anyone out there new to this like me? New or experienced or somewhere in between, I'd love to take this journey with you!

Congratulations on the beginning of your journey. There are many helpful people on this site and you will learn a lot just reading their posts and asking questions. I can't really give you any great pureed stage recipes because I kind of skipped that stage. I was sleeved October 16th. You can add me as a friend.

Welcome! These groups have been invaluable to me as I have gone through my journey. I was sleeved on 9/10/14. Feel free to add me!
  • Thank you ladies! I've added you both! I'm excited to see what the journey holds for me. I dropped an initial 12lbs the first few days and then my body started gearing up for my TOM and everything went on hold. I've heard of a stall right about the 2 or 3 week mark and I figure that's pretty normal seeing as my body has been through a bit of a shock to the system. I think it will eventually catch up with my new way of eating. I'd say overall, I'm feeling really great and optimistic. I'm happy to meet people who have already blazed a trail ahead of me!
  • A quick question...I'm trying to update my profile to show my overall 20lb weight loss (pre-op/post op) but when I change my weight in the settings portion it doesn't reflect my pounds lost in the little box next to my profile picture. This is really my first time working with my fitness pal, so maybe I'm missing something? Any suggestions?

In the "Check-in" screen, where you enter a new weight, there is a link near the bottom to edit previous weights. There you can set your "Start" weight at whatever number you want. Another tip I read is that if you want your Report graphs to not start at zero on the longer charts, enter a previous weight over a year ago at your start weight. This way, the graph will scale more meaningfully.

    Hope this helps.

Hi! Glad to hear that you're doing well. I'll be having surgery on Monday. Hopefully my recovery will be easy! Feel free to add me!

Just had mine done on the 12th of Jan. So we are pretty close. I just got cleared for puree too. So far I have done scrambled egg whites and I did try some canned deviled ham and chicken. Oh and deviled eggs... Waiting to get too brash...lol
    Good Luck!

I'm glad you are doing better now. This is a great place to get information and advice. I had my sleeve on 11/19 so I'm little more than 2 mos in. Each day gets better. Please feel free to friend me if you would like.
  • Ooooo deviled eggs sound so good right about now!! Yummmmm!

Thanks for introducing yourselves! I "friended" you both!
