I'm one pound away from my goal weight of 105, and now I want to change my goal to 100 lbs because I don't think I am skinny enough...people keep telling me im crazy but....I used to take ballet and they were a lot of other dancers besides me who were a lot taller than me (I'm 5ft 3) who weighed 100 pounds,,,what do you think?

  • I think it is dangerous. You might think 'it is just 5 lbs less than my original goal but I have been there before and it sounds dangerous to me. You would be considered a healthy weight now by anyone who is sensible. You already weigh less than 8 stone. You will be borderline underweight if you reduce anymore. I know it is hard because I have been in the same position although I wasn't a dancer, I used to swim quite seriously.
Maybe you could try setting yourself a new goal, as you seem to be fulfilled by them - say a financially-related goal or something else in your life to focus on and think about and achieve?

Too skinny. I would definitely re-arrange your goal weight. Remember that is how we get started "oh just 5 lbs more and I'll be happy". The things is, 5 lbs more and you get deeper in it, and are NOT ever happy with the weight. Sad but true. Good luck and I hope you stay healthy.
  • I agree with above. It's never just 5 more pounds, it keeps going. It's a very slippery and dangerous slope. I think 105 is as low as you should go honestly. If you keep going you'll be to weak to dance.
