I've been working out on the elliptical for 2 weeks at 30 minutes a day and the distance was 2.25 miles. I then went to 35 minutes and 2.67 for 2 weeks. Now I've been at 46 minutes a day, 6 days a week for 3.5 miles. I have lost exactly Zero pounds. My clothes fit better. I've gone down a shirt size, my jeans are lose on me. But Zero weight. My doctor says I need to increase my protein intake to 125 grams per day.

It's not for a lack of trying.

Also weight shifts from one part of the body to another. You could also be building muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat.
You might try a steady walking pace instead of the elliptical bike. Just a suggestion. I lost 400 pounds once. Did it walking! If it's cold and snowing I walk in place while listening to music or in front of the tv. You can try it see if it helps. Again a suggestion.
