Yeah for not snoring!
My 15 year old was feeling all pumped up after weight lifting the other day and decided to try to lift me...and he was able to! I also discovered that I now weigh less than my 16 year old super fit son.0 -
Those are both sets of amazing NSV's y'all.
Mine is that I fit comfortably into a set of jeans I bought back around June that I promptly grew out of when I was focusing on getting my mind in the right place and letting the scale be ignored. Now, to see if I can fit into it's sister pair, which I left in the dryer too long on laundry day once. I think they shrunk a full size smaller than the ones I'm currently wearing. LOL0 -
I was sitting on the couch with my 9 year old and she looked down and said, "Mumma your leg is looking skinny." I almost burst into tears. My leg is SO not looking skinny but I'll take it.0

@maoribadger: I would love to hear that I've stopped snoring. Unfortunately, that may take an act of God. @wennim: Woo hoo! Being picked up as an adult is amazing isn't it? @KnitOrMiss: I'm all in for smaller jeans. Nice job everyone.0

Wennim those are awesome NSVs. Im still a way off being picked up
Carly. Its so lovely to fit in clothes you thought you had 'outgrown'. Its like getting a whole new wardrobe for me lately
40. Hey take it. My five yo keeps telling me my tummy has got smaller0 -
Actually, a little over a year ago, I sold a bunch of stuff online, and then donated what I hadn't sold to a battered women's shelter, so I don't have much "back up" wardrobe. I bought these last year when I just couldn't keep my older pants up anymore. Without taking that step, though, I wouldn't have been mentally ready to attack this weight problem head on! I'm quite ready to trade off having to by a little clothes here and there to actually being able to fight for my health!
And absolutely, Wennim, that's cool. I can't fathom that, really, for myself. Has to be a wacky reminder of how much things have changed!
And kiddos have no filter, so 40and... your daughter was speaking the utter truth from her perspective. Take it!!
And Lise - wow - to stop snoring, that's so on my list.I have apnea that stopped responding to treatment, and so I have to use those weird flex support things you stick up your nose, and even that is only part of the issue. Given the difference in our frames, I will likely never weight less than my sis or kiddo, as long as they remain healthy, but I'm okay with that! Smaller tummy - that's one the kids notice because we get less squishy. lol
