    Thank you Amy!

    Okay only one glass of wine last night. I had dinner with a friend and I don't like to drive after more than one. It was really tasty thai food but I feel the sodium this morning.

    Tonight being friday I will probably attack a whole bottle of red something. It is very rainy and dreary so red wine it is.

    I was very good yesterday with food, working out and wine =} Unfortunately today I have more shoveling to prepare for the three days it's supposed to snow next week. I'm loving all the calorie torching though.

    And it's Friday so obviously wine later especially after shoveling, a work out and some housework.

    Happy Friday all :flowerforyou:

    Awesome weekend!!!!!
    Friday,we just laid low, cause Lenny wasn't feeling so hot. 1 beer and 2 glasses of wine.
    Saturday, we had my nephews bday party (4 beers) and then we went out to dinner for my mom's bday (1 beer and 2 manhattans). When we got home we had a bourbon and coke.
    Sunday-4 beers
    Monday-0

    I could use a day off. Tomorrow we have a retirement party, of sorts, for Lenny's coworker at the brewpub down the street, so beers shall be flowing, especially since I know about 3 of the 30+ people that will be there, I will need some social lubrication :wink:

    still got the 0's going. at this rate I should probably shoot for sober February....altho the husband's and my anniversary is this week..28 years. I'm thinking I'll manage a drink for that.
    I am feeling better though..still got the congestion and cough but i don't feel like death.

    Kate- sounds like a great weekend!
    Sydney- Glad you are feeling better and grats on the zeros!
    I had lab work done for my yearly physical- the triglycerides were way out of wack. :(
    Have to face the Dr on Friday- no doubt will get chewed out. Better have a few drinks before the appointment. That would work out - right? ;)

    I've been keeping up with the wine most nights, but usually just a couple glasses. However, I drank a bottle, plus a glass, plus a beer and pumped and dumped on Friday night. It was nice to just relax and drink a little in excess, but I don't like how things were a little foggy and I had a horrid headache at 6am. Plus even though my husband was a dear and did all the nightly feedings, I still woke up. I'm thinking getting drunk just isn't worth it right now.....I'll still have some glasses, but probably don't need 6+ drinks. :drinker:

    We had a fantastic weekend. It was almost 60 on Saturday and we had a fire early afternoon, then got in the hot tub with mimosas during nap time and had sushi for dinner. Yesterday all 4 of us walked to and form the park and I wasn't too sore. Come on spring!!

    Thursday I went out with friends for an early bday, we went for Mexican so I had a marg and then a shot of Patron, cuz it's my birthday. Friday my cold seemed worse, I had a hot toddy, but it didn't really make me feel better.
    Saturday was my birthday so I went to brunch with some friends and had 2 bloody marys. Then my husband and I went to dinner later and I had a glass of red and a beer.
    Sunday I did not drink!
    Probably won't be drinking tonight either...

    Happy Birthday Amy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ashley, I can't wait for spring either!!!!!!

    Monday-0
    Tuesday-well I found out the retirement party is 100+ people, so that may require a shot or a beer before we go, haha!!! I get so nervous walking into situations that I'm not comfortable in and when I don't really know anyone, but once I get there I seem to relax. I can see tonight as a 3-4 beer night!!!

    still got the 0's going. May try some exercise today altho the lungs are still quite full of yucky stuff. :(
    80 degrees here all this week...so at the very least I will get out for some walking to try to get back in some sort of decent shape.

    So yesterday was P90X Chest, Shoulders and Arms……forgot what a beast of a work out it is and today I'm soooooo sore. And to top it off we had another snow storm yesterday :unamused: so I get to go out and shovel some more only to have to do it again after more snow we're supposed to get this Thursday :grumble: :s It's a two cup of coffee day, one now to give me energy for shoveling and then one before my actual work out. Looks like another high calorie burn week, which is a plus.

    Hope you feel better soon SoCal :flowerforyou:

    P90X, it's a 90 min workout? or 90 days?
    I never finished max30, bc I got sick last week. Kind of a bummer after keeping at it for so long and now going to NZ and not 100%, my lungs feel yucky, too, SoCal, I get winded talking!
    Last night I budgeted for a glass of wine and some hershey kisses.
    Monday=1 drink

    I tried to do P90X once, but I got so annoyed with the guy that I had to turn it off. I'm very picky when it comes to fitness instructors...I guess that is why I can't go to group fitness classes. I'm so judgmental....

    Monday - 0
    Tuesday - 0 (or might have the 2 beers that are in my fridge...idk!)

    The workouts are long, I can't remember exactly how long, I think mostly an hour. But the program is 90 days. And yes the people are annoying, but I eventually muted it and just played me own music.

    90 days about an hour a work out. I only do the weight work outs though and then do my own cardio. And I guess I'm a weirdo because I love Tony, Dreya I could do with out but I don't mind everyone else. It's a really great program for strength and muscle gain.

    Maybe I should give it a try again. My husband did it for quite a while. Of course I'll need to wait until the puppy is a little older and will not be right at my feet all the time!

    Monday - 0
    Tuesday - 0..even though the beers in the fridge were tempting!!
    Wednesday - 0

    I got amazing results before, I had guys complimenting me on my arms, haha. I have Back and Biceps today and I don't know how I'm going to do it because I am so sore from Monday's work out and shoveling :s .

    But, I have definitely hit that 21 day habit with my working out and I'm back in my groove where I look forward to my work outs. My only problem getting back to weights is when I'm sore from lifting it seems like my body can't get enough sleep and that my muscles would like me to just sleep for days. The upside to that though is that I've been sleeping DEEPLY.

    I know I would drop weight quicker if I cut out booze but I'd rather lose slowly while enjoying my wine rather than cut it out and lose weight only to gain it back once I start having wine again. Plus knowing I'll want some wine at night keeps my eating in check and is more motivation to work out hard and so far it seems to be working :#

    one more question about P90X-do you work out every day or just 5 days per week?
    Last night I just wanted beer...
    Monday=1 drink
    Tuesday=2 drinks

    tonight will finish off that box of wine with friends, will see how many glasses are in there! so hard to tell...

    one more question about P90X-do you work out every day or just 5 days per week?

    It's a 6 day program with a rest or stretch day on the 7th day. You do 3 weeks with the weight lifting and the 4th week is called a rest week but you're still doing the work outs it's just not the weight lifting ones. You do that for the first 2 months and then the last month there is no rest week it's just 4 weeks of alternating the weight work outs from month 1 and 2. The whole idea is that once your body gets used to one routine you switch it up which in theory will keep your body guessing and therefore will get you results.

    I've been doing the weight days which are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so I'll do the P90X dvd and then ride the bike for half an hour. On Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday I ride the bike for an hour. On my rest week I just ride my bike for an hour each day because I like the extra cardio.

    They also have 3 different versions, Lean, Classic and Doubles. Lean has slightly less weight lifting and Doubles is adding cardio on the weight days which is what I'm doing.

    I wouldn't recommend doubles to start out because it can burn you out quickly. I would definitely recommend starting with Classic.

    With that said I did Back and Biceps and it wasn't super pretty but I've definitely gotten stronger just in the 3 weeks I've done weights because on almost every move I had to say use more weight next time. Now I am thoroughly enjoying some wine :drinker:
