Hi there,

Have a FitBit Charge HR in small size that I have been using but am now swapping it for a larger size one. When I connect the new one will it still keep all the fitbit data I have stored up or will I have to start again?

Also, if I give my old fitbit to someone else will my own data pop up or will it reset for them to use with a new account?

Thanks
Sky

I think you need to contact fitbit support for resetting a fitbit.
Updating to a new one should be all right, you already have an account and when you register your new charge, you register it into the same account. :)

No need to contact Fitbit. Go to the website as if you are a new user and start the setup stage. Once you setup it will ask you if you have an existing account. Then ask you if your are replacing. YES you are. Pretty much that's its. All previous data is still there it's just getting it from the new one now. As far as giving yours. Same thing except are you a new user YES. Your data is wiped and new data starts. Only one device per account so no confusion.

I've "given" a fitbit One to family member, and my data stayed the same when I activated my new device. Family member started from scratch on their newly-created account using the One I gave them.
