This my sound like a silly question, but if I don't do normal exercise today but I do take a lot of steps, where do the steps show up in MFP?
Thank you for any help guys! I am new to both MFP and Fitbit so it is a little confusing trying to get everything setup

Connect you accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
MFP sends water & aggregate meal data to Fitbit. Then it compares your Fitbit burn (TDEE) to your activity level and adjusts your calorie goal accordingly.0 -
I already have them connected but I can't see any stats from Fitbit showing up in MFP yet, do they ever reflect in MFP? And where do I enable the negative calorie adjustments? I go to that page but I don't see anything about negative calories there?
Sorry for the bombardment, I appreciate your help!0 -
No worries! That link I posted (to your diary settings) has 3 items. #2 is negative calorie adjustments. Make sure that box is checked.
In your diary under exercise, there'll be an entry called "Fitbit calorie adjustment." If you disable negative calorie adjustments & burn fewer calories than your MFP activity level, then you'll get a zero adjustment.
Click on the adjustment to see the math MFP used, and the time it last synced with Fitbit.0 -
I feel like a dunce. In the link you posted I have four categories and I see no check boxes, just drop downs. If I go into settings on my droid it has a section for steps and it has an option for Don't Track Steps which is currently checked, I am unable to uncheck it. when I click on Add a Device and select fitbit and go through that process it says they are already connected.
I cannot find anything that says Fitbit Calorie Adjustment. Maybe I need to uninstall MFP and install it again?0 -
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings is a URL on the website. Go to the home page, then Settings at top right, then Diary Settings. You can't enable negative calorie adjustments in the app, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with steps.0

I uninstalled MFP and reinstalled it and now it is showing up. I have no explanation, the website also updated. Thank you for your help! I haven't walked enough today to have an impact, but hopefully that'll change!0
