Hello everyone!
Re-joined MFP after losing 2st 2 years ago (1st back on.)
I couldn't cope with all the US cheerleading on the site, but don't know if that is because I'm a Brit or more specifically a Northern Brit! I hadn't thought about searching for a UK group for support so I'm hoping this is the way to go!

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hahaha nope it's union, the local league team are a combo of the teams in North Derbyshire and surrounding areas. I never enjoyed playing league, mainly due to the mega injury that I sustained in training, it's all about union here but am considering purchasing some pompoms for when I'm cheering my old team on :D

I second that big time......Really Psses me off when you see the yanks in there comments saying had a bad day today, missed my goals (they ate twice there daily bloody goal) and all the likes and wooop woops and shite.....when you want to grab hold, *kitten* slap them tell em to get a grip and stop feeling sorry for yourself.....

I have just had a rant in another room at someone saying they really want to lose, they did MFP before and lost, then stopped and put it back on, but they have not got time to log everyday, can they do anything else.........well yes you can sod of home, log out and leave the people that are serious about it to get on with it......loads of yanks giving it "its hard to find time", "awww poor you" etc........boils my blood it does sometimes....lol....gotta be nice about it thou aint we.......

Well I hope this is the room to say Bolx to that......lol

    Ok rant over......

Oh I am Jon BTW, 41 yr old fat bloke, my second time using MFP (fist time help me lose over 5 stone (proper weights that too...none of this 60lbs or 30kg shite)....still got 3 or 4 stone to go if possible......depends if I have the time...... feel free to add me...

Welcome back. It looks like I've been lucky and managed to avoid the americans! Fatjon won't be impressed that I use Kg's though - it's probably an age thing :)

Haha! I'm completely decimal on everything apart from weight...and even weight I can't do in pounds it has to be stones and pounds. That may say more about my sh!te Maths than anything else!

I am still stones, pounds, yards, feet & inches. And just for the "ouch" I sometimes mentally convert new pence prices to shillings, half a crown for an egg makes me wince, as does 5 bob for an orange

You've made me giggle! I was born the year after decimalisation but yet I still hanker after old money!!
And to bring it back to weight loss - in those days I wouldn't be 'overweight', 'obese' or 'morbidly obese' I would be 'fat', 'really fat' or 'fuc@ me she's fat!'
  • I'm looking for some UK friends too so please add me if you want - I do use metric measurements though :)
