TGIF!! Hope everyone has a great Friday to kick start their weekend!

I hit my goals yesterday. But, more importantly, I've hit a major milestone today. As of this morning, I've lost 40lbs and I'm no longer obese!!! I never thought I would be this excited to say that I'm overweight! Here's to never seeing obesity again!

Goals for today:
1. stay within calories
2. 10,000 steps
3. swim

Congratulations SingRunTing!!! That is an awesome accomplishment!! I am seriously impressed with your determination and consistancy.

I have been a little frustrated lately. My scale is not moving down. It seems like no matter what I do I can't lose it. This past week I have been sick and haven't exercised and haven't watched my food as closely as I was but I had about 3 straight weeks within the past 48 days where I worked out every day and was really good about what I ate and saw no results. I even was not only watching calories but stuff like sodium and sugar levels. I noticed myself getting stronger and had better endurance but no loss. If anyone has any suggestions I am completely open to them.

Yesterday I didn't post but I met the goals I set for myself. Goals today:
    1. 10,000 steps
    2. Water!!
    3. Laundry
    4. Enjoy our school play tonight.

Congratulations SingRunTing!! What a remarkable achievement. (*) (*)
I had a crappy day yesterday and ate comfort food. After being away on the weekend and "gaining" 3 lbs, had lost 2 of it by Tuesday it was back this morning. However, I am feeling better so did my morning workout and made healthy food choices for work. Back on track for this girl. Mexico is looming closer and I want to be if not at goal within my goal range. So focus is the key now.

    Todays goals:
    Butt Challenge - done
    Burpees - done
Speed intervals on treadmill - done
    measure, weigh and log food
    stay within calories
    evening workout

    Happy Friday everyone!

SingRunTing, if you're ever in WI ( so cold I don't recommend it for anyone) you're more than welcomed to join me at the gym for some R&R :)
Krp97, you're doing great! I hate to say this but the journey to fat loss doesn't really start until you make it past a few plateaus. Everyone is happy and content as long as they are loosing; when the plateau comes that's the true test in your journey. This is the moment a pure clarity when you are faced with reality: are you doing a temporary diet and workout to loose weight? Or are you into bettering your life with small steps and sustainable healthy habits? The plateau means nothing when your goal is to be a healthier person. Our appearance is a consequence of fitness level, therefore as we get better, it will get better.
On the other hand, if you grind through everyday, pushing your limits and giving out more than you should, the weigh of the plateau will crush you.
Time to look deep inside and see what motivates you. As long as you like what you're doing, nurture your body and love yourself, a plateau is meaningless: the scale only measures the force you push the ground with; it doesn't tell you if you're stronger, if you're iron or wool.
As for practical advice, recalculate your TDEE, choose an adequate deficit ( 20% -10%), measure your intake and exercise, log it and stay consistent!!!
And, if you haven't done this yet, snap some pictures of yourself, take measurements and give it a month. Come next months, you'll be happy you did!!!
You can't go to war with fat and not have to fight some though battles:)

Danezuleta thank you for all your input. Before I got sick and I was working out every day I don't think I was eating enough because I felt my body getting worn out. I also have bad knees and feet which is why I haven't been able to run or play sports the past 3 years and my knee was hurting pretty bad from overuse so I backed off a little bit.

I calculated my TDEE but I thought it was going to be too many calories so I got scared and didn't do it. I will check that out again this weekend.
I am definitely in this for the long haul. I am going to Major in Nutrition and Athletic training in college so I definitely am not trying to a quick fix diet. I will also take some pictures this weekend and measure so I can measure better.
Thank you for all the support and taking the time to guide me, I really appreciate it!!
