I am suppose to pick up a friend for a quick day trip in just a few minutes but I have been rushing around getting ready and now I hurt. My knee huts, my back hurts and I start perspiring heavily when I am in pain. Yuck! i know I need to move to get better so I will push through it but I so wish i didn't have to always grit my teeth and push through the hurt. It makes me sad for how i am living. What do other people do?

Sorry to hear you hurt::-( Hopefully when you get out with your friend you'll have some distraction from the pain.

I have a medication regime that helps me to some extent - have you spoken to your doctor about possibly trying some medication to help with pain management?

Thank you. I did have a good time today. I am still hurting though. It is a wicked trade off, I could go and take a tramadol but then I will then feel slightly sleepy and not process as well. Overall though a good day. Thank you for commenting.

Pleased you had a good day :-)

I know what you mean about brain fog, I had to trial a fair few pain killers before finding the right ones for me - they make such a massive difference to my quality of life and my ability to manage my pain.

I just saw this post. So glad you managed to have a good day. I have that issue with sweating. I have asked doctor after doctor about this with no true answer. Your post made me realize that it could be related to when I am in pain. I did a walk almost every day last week and now I can barely move. I was "pushing" through it and I am now paying for it. I will go for a more modest walk tonight. I appreciate you sharing, as it makes me feel not so alone in this journey through pain. I am about ready to see if I can get into a pain specialist.

I can't function well on pain killers, but I need them sometimes. I take Lyrica, but I don't think it's working as well as it did when I started taking it. Maybe I need a higher dose. Sometimes we have to push through the pain, but sometimes it's just not realistic. Pick your battles, rest when you can, and get some light exercise.

I have an issue with sweating, also - but I thought it was due to hormones (I have polycystic ovarian syndrome) or even anxiety. It might be pain, though...

Depends on the condition. I went through several doctors and many years. All started over 15 years with endometreosis. Many times we have illness predicating on our genetics which reveal themselves over time through environment. Example: alligator nests compile of all male embryos. If there is a tempature increase of just a few degrees the embryos will be female. I would try to find a good general doctor or better yet an internal medicine physician. Testing is important but there is nothing better than a doctor who listens and acts. Persistence is key. After years of trial and error and medicine that put me to sleep I finally know. Steroids have eased the crippling pain from rheumatoid disease. I have begun plaquenil and trying new biologic next week. Limiting calories has stymied my weight gain from prednisone. Pain meds do have their place so don't count them out. Tramadol takes the edge off and does not make me woozy. The first few doses did but it went away. I wish you good luck and blessings on your journey. PS poly cystic ovaries can really cause problems like you're describing. Anxiety and blood sugar issues can be debilitating. You need a good doctor specializing in OBGyn Reproductive Endocrinology. I finally found one for my daughter who has PCOS. It's just a shame that we had to search for help like we did. Keep searching. Help us out there.

My daughter has just been dx with PCOS and doesn't sweat. She does turn bright red and overheats though.
