Calories for a sedentary (modified bedrest) expecting twins.

Hi Gals.
I'm 9 weeks on with twins. I am experiencing too much weight gain due to the fact that I am on modified bedrest for complications - 12 pounds in 9 weeks of pregnancy.
If I set my macros to 1/2lb gain per week with sedentary activity level, do you think that would be enough?

I'm 11 weeks and eating at maintainance at the mo and was told to add 200 cal when in 3rd tri.(unless starving and need more). But I don't know if it's diff for twins. X0

How modified is your best rest at only 9 weeks along? There is a lot of conflicting data about bed rest but being sedentary for another 7 months would likely do more harm than good. :-/
Best of luck!0 -
I was having heavy bleeding following the loss of a triplet, I had an open cervix and 2 active SCHs and bedrest was needed to try to avoid losing the other two babies. It is quite necessary
For anyone else in my situation I found a great book on weight gain and dietary guidelines: http://www.amazon.com/Youre-Expecting-Twins-Triplets-Quads/dp/0061803073/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top0 -
Hi and sorry to hear about your triplet baby. I wouldnt worry too much about the gain and just rest and try to eat as healthly as you can. You have plenty of time afterwards to get back to pre pregnancy weight. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.0
