I'm starting a "Pick your Poison" Challenge! A couple people have mentioned that all we talk about on this thread is where we are from and the weather. So, here is a chance to do something together. I have looked up a bunch of different challenges, and I can't decide myself. Here are some ideas:
30 Day Cardio Challenge
30 Day Crunch Challenge
30 Day Plank Challenge
300,000 Steps in 30 Days Challenge
3000 Squats/3000 Pushups Challenge
30 Day Burpee Challenge
30 Day Ab & Squat Challenge
Even the 30 Day Happiness Challenge
You get the idea. JUST DO SOMETHING!!
We'll start on April Fools Day! Just post here what your plan is and we'll root each other on!!

Ya know, I always see these threads in the sidebars but I never actually knew what they were. So is it exactly what it says? You vow to do x every day in a month? And what's the etiquette for staying accountable? Do people post daily in the feed or is that considered annoying? I just had neck surgery this week, so the cardio and bending and twisting are out. I'll choose the 300,000 steps challenge. I'm not sure what I do in a month, so that actually would be fun. So would the panic at the end of the month if I'm behind0

The etiquette is just the honor system. It's just a way to have a reachable goal and some encouragement along the way to make it to that goal. If you want to post daily...great! If you want to post totals weekly...that works as well. The 300,000 challenge is tempting. I'm actually considering doing a few of them...more of a 900 hours of active exercise challenge.0

I'll join you in the rest in a few months when I don't feel like my neck-guts are going to spill out of the incision (sorry to be gross). I'll do the 300,000 step challenge though!! We could post our progress here if you don't mind using the thread for that. Maybe weekly.0

I am rehabbing from extensive back surgery. As much as I would love to participate in this challenge (I love a GOOD challenge....) I am physically unable. I will appoint myself the "official cheerleader" to those of you fellow Wisconsinites who are in it. GO , PEOPLE, GO!!!!
As soon as I am deemed able, I plan to participate, even in a diminished capacity, in future challenges.0 -
Week 3 - 54,646 steps. Oh yikes. I'm never going to make 300,000. But this was my first challenge ever so I can only go up from here!0

Week 4 - 47,6370

And Week 5 - 51,997. That's a total of 255,085. Short of the goal, but better than I was expecting. Not bad for the winter/spring transition and the month immediately following a surgery. Yay!0
