Hello, Everyone! Today is Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Day in Hawaii. It is a day that commemorates Prince Jonah who is the cousin of the famous Hawaii Queen Liliuokalani. This man did a lot in his life to better the place for his people. The most noticeable thing that he did was he put in the paperwork for Hawaii to become a full fledged state in America. In honor of this man, we have a Hawaiian challenge!
Today’s Challenge: Learn the Hula dance!
How to do the hula! (this is the hula dance from lilo and stitch!)

Hula Fitness video if you wanna try it out:
(watch it once first that way you understand the moves better~)

I’m dead serious when I say this man was amazing. He was named heir to the throne, he joined the royalists to fight the new republic but was captured and convicted of treason. He turned it all around by joining the industrialists and overthrew the Hawaiian Monarchy. Then ran for congress! He was re elected 10 times. During his time he primarily focuses on pearl harbor, Honolulu harbor, and making it so that Hawaii can get regular mail delivery. That is nuts!
Well I hope you all enjoy this brief history lesson and good luck with the challenge!

Remembering my class learning the hula along with 'Lovely Hula Hands'. Nice remembrance. I can still do it!
