has anyone gone yet? I'm not planning on going until I drop some of this weight. I won't start worrying about time until I'm 6 months out from the wedding lol

I was hoping to wait until I have lost weight but there's increasing pressure to start already. My family and even some wedding suppliers keep telling me that the style/theme of the wedding all revolves around "the dress"!0

When are you getting married? I still have a year to go and I'm having a very tiny wedding so I'm not planning on anything very fancy.0

I'm getting married on 28th May. Today I went dress shopping!!! It seemed very daunting to begin with, and I actually didn't book either of the appointments, my sister did It for me as I have been putting it off (until I lost weight). From my experience today though it seems there is a dress shape/style for everyone, no matter what size you are. I tried on some styles that looked awful on me, made my arms look fat, made my boobs look small(er), made my stomach look podgey, and then I tried on ones that made all of the above look better.. My arms looked bearable, my boobs looked good, my shoulders no longer looked really wide and my stomach looked slim!! I actually had a waist!! Slightly amazed as you can tell! So I would say from my experience, not to be put off! Go for it! And use it as motivation to work on any areas you think need attention after!0

I'm so nervous to try stuff on because I'm just afraid what I want will look horrendous and I'll get discouraged. Guess I need to bite the bullet and take a shot.0

I went shopping back in February and got my dresses.
But I know what you mean about not wanting to go until you have dropped some weight. I was the same way when I went shopping during the early days of my engagement and I felt like I looked terrible in everything. I couldn't fit in most of the dresses in the store that I liked and felt so discouraged. I decided to shelf the shopping until I lost weight. I managed to lose some 20lbs since that initial shopping trip and was able to enjoy the experience this time around0 -
It's very daunting when they grab a dress and you're standing there thinking well that won't fit, but one of my consultants just kept saying wiggle wiggle and you'll get into it, keep wiggling!! I was exhausted afterwards! Going again tomorrow to try on a dress ive been eyeing up in magazines and online!0
