Looking for great snack ideas

I eat every 2-3 hours with a series of smaller meals but two of which are really more like snacks. Almonds, cherry tomatoes, peanut butter with whole wheat bread, cucumbers, cashews, turkey jerky, or popcorn are my go-to items.

I'm looking to change it up and was wondering what snacks are your go-to choices?

  • Maybe it;s the cold weather and it doesn't really have any nutritional value, but I find a cup of hot green tea (w/ 1 tspn of sugar) is tantamount to comfort food these days. They do say that green tea helps to activate some enzyme that helps your body burn fat faster. The fluid intake is also a plus.

    A friend turned me on to "apple nachos".
    You slice an apple in thin, chip-like slices, lay them on a plate, drizzle with melted peanut butter, and then sprinkle just a few chocolate chips and some coconut (if you like it). They are awesome!
