    Week 6 Day 1 Check-In!
No gym this morning, still recovering from the weekend of bad choices :( The scale was not my friend this morning , alcohol induced weight gain / water retention sucks! I am off to Houston Wednesday so I may or may not be able to check in here as much but I know you all will do great! I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day :)

Hello everyone! I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my son and daughter-in-law coming over to cook breakfast. It was delicious, but I know I'll need a couple extra hours of intense cardio to burn it off!

On a very positive note, I completed a 5k (walking) this past Saturday beating my previous time by nearly 15 minutes! Can you "pre-burn" calories?

Hope all the Mother's had a lovely and special day!

Still plugging along! Mother's Day was a wash out....but my only one since I started my weight loss journey 1.5 months ago. Down 7 pounds! Feeling pretty good about that! Haven't been exercising. Imagine the loss if I had!! Slow but steady and I'm okay with it!

We ate at a buffet resto last Sunday so I didn't weigh in till today (-1.2 lbs down from last week hoorah!) because I know I am gonna pack a lot of water and food weight (and maybe a little fat weight) the next day. I don't want to get discouraged. I ate over my calories but it is still less than what I usually eat when in a buffet before (I think my stomach shrank a little because I felt full faster now than before). And I actually didn't binge after. Before, I usually binge after a buffet because I would think that I already blew up the day. I did eat less cals the next days though because I don't want to lose 1 or 2 weeks progress. Not really hard since I am still full from undigested foods the next day. I am back to my normal calorie goal now.

@joshuapowell1989 - I love how people from the UK go on Holiday! It sounds like so much more interesting than going on "vacation". I think it's usually longer than the vacations we take in the US. At least that's my impression. Where is your holiday?

I must admit "Holiday" does sound abit more cheery than "Vacation" haha.
We are still in the UK, we have gone to a little cabin surrounded with fields, and have bought our two dogs with us to enjoy the scenery!

Still sticking to the diet and exercising! Yesterday my partner taught me to swim (embarrassing that I can't swim but i'm learning!) was surprised at how many calories it estimated I burned from it!

I am definitely missing my food scales and my body scales too though. I think I have a problem haha.

Good for you to learn how to swim-I was over 50 before I learned how and it still isn't pretty, but it sure does burn the calories and tone up parts of the body that other exercises I have tried don't seem to do.
Hang in there and you will learn to love it!

I've been much better this week. I counted calories everyday which was one of my goals since I've been slipping on it. I'm under for the week Not including tomorrow. I started a harder strength training program because the other one seemed easy in some aspects and I got bored. I'm really hurting now though. I've been not as hungrary lately I dont know if it's the weather or my allergies but it kept me on track. I tried power yoga this week. I also have been active with gardening. I bought a new vegetarian cook book that is pretty decent. Keeping up on my veggies.

Hi all! Good to see everyone's progress :)

So far, I am doing good with my eating. I don't get hungry as much as before. And if I have those cravings and false hunger, they are usually solved by water, green tea, ACV and cinnamon water, exercise, or sleep. I am still doing 30 day fitness challenges along with a walking exercise video. I am kind of cheating with the challenge though since this week, I have only done 2 days so far since Monday when it should have been everyday. I should have finished day 11 by now but I am still into day 8 right now. It is still better than nothing though so I am still happy with my health and fitness progress.

Need new clothes! Think I will do a charity shop spree as draw the line at spending lots that may not fit soon. My overtrousers fell down at work last week so glad I wear trousers underneath unlike some of the workers.

I bought some thrift store clothes last month. I found a few "in between" clothes that look really nice. I plan to go again next month.

Still alive, took a bit of a break last week with the forums, thinking about heading out of town, it's race weekend in Charlotte and with the three day weekend it's going to be a nuthouse.
