on Saturday I'm participating in two 5k races and they are both obstacle races involving water. I won't be submerged but it could be more than just a splash of water. Can I wear my jawbone or would it be safer in the car?

Your band is rain, splash, sweat, and shower-resistant, but you should remove your band before swimming, surfing, or exposing to other extreme conditions and activities like saunas and steam rooms. Do not submerge your band in liquids, including hot tubs or baths, at any time.

Before Jawbone killed their forums, there was a mudrunners group.

I wear my for extended showers and for dishes and whatnot, no problems yet! I'd think it'd be fine for runs with water obstacles.

Update: it lasted through a slip and slide, mud bath, clean water rinse/shower then through 3 small slide pools AND 4 trips down a giant inflatable slide into a pool of water. Still ticking!!
