August Goals

Awesome August is upon us!!! List your goals here for green days, streak days and exercise goals if you have those. (It is perfectly fine if you only list a green days goal. I like the encouragement I get for a green days streak goal and to reach my exercise goals.)

@R_Queenie, I hope you don't mind my starting the August thread. :smile:

    My goals: green days - 25
    streak - 35 (I am at 29 tonight, but expect to break it at a potluck on Thursday.)
    exercise - squat & deadlift 100 pounds for 3 sets of 8-10 reps and bench press 90 for 3 sets of 8-10 reps by month end. (currently doing 85 for 12 reps on squat and deadlift and 70 for 12 on bench press).

    14 miles today! Felt really good during. No stiffness or soreness after either. Stopped near the end for a smoothie which was amazing. Oranges, lemon, strawberries, Greek yogurt, maple syrup and ice. All fresh fruit, yummy!

    Goals. Going for 25 Green days,exercising 5 days a week and maintaining/staying under 140. Not sure about the streaking yet! Lol

    Thanks Melissa for getting it started for this month!

    Green goal: 26
    Streak: I like streaking 10 days in a row. I'll do as many as I can starting with today.
    Exercise goal: I'm committing to doing some serious strength training at least twice a week. I've been slacking on that. Also, I want to complete 20 pushups a week.

    Thanks for starting us up Melissa! I like adding an exercise goal as well.

    Goals for August :
    25 green days
    at least one streak of 10 days.
    I want to try to eat fewer packaged things. I've got a bad lean cuisine mac n cheese addiction going for lunch!

    Workout wise continue training for my marathon. I do t want to set too many other goals in that end because that needs to be my focus for now.

    Finally, I want to not feel so guilty when I have a planned red day. Most of mine are planned for something special. Buy I tend even then to either over think it or regret it the next day. One good meal doesn't make you healthy. One bad meal doesn't ruin everything. Moderation!

    Back-to-school activities and kids' schedules are going to edge me to being more conservative in my goals for August. I'm going to shoot for 27 or 31 this month.

    I just realized I had not posted here.

    So here are the August goals:

    Green = 27/31 days
    Streak = I would love to do at least 20 days, but would like to go for more. So we will see.

    Waiting on exercise goals until I see the specialist on Tuesday - which is coming oh so..... S L O W L Y!!
