Technically Week Three starts on Wednesday, but thanks for starting the thread, Melissa. I found myself begging for calories today. It's amazing how quickly you can burn through 1,500!

I only have one day left to complete Gabe's strength training challenge...I plan on hitting the gym tomorrow night when (hopefully) no one is around to wacth me flounder.

Mark- you got time. Just fit in weights whenever you can.

Yesterday started off so promising. Decent breakfast, okay lunch. A little weights at the gym then of course, beer with my dinner

Oops... Guess it was easier for me to track weeks starting on Sunday.

Yeah, the Wednesday start was definitely out of the norm for me, too. Anyway, all good. So, yeah, did not get a chance to do weights yet, Gabe, but I definitely plan to. I actually like the idea of challenging each other to try new forms of exercise, or try to change their diet in specific ways. I will think of some good challenges for you all at some point :)

I had another strong diet day to finish the week. I'm inclined to have a 'cheat meal' sometime in the coming days, but I also don't want to break my stride...

A good diet helps. I am not watching what I eat as much as I am watching how much I eat. I feel much healthier but I do miss my normal eating sessions.

I keep meaning to check in here and keep forgetting. Calorie tracking has really helped me and its helped keep me from buying awful (but delicious) things at the grocery store. I'm still working on trying to limit my portions, but I've been getting better.

Aside from daily walks, I need to ramp up my exercise. I'm going on a hike this afternoon, but I'd like to start going for jogs later this week and getting in a routine.

Nice work, Eddie! I too am trying to find time and energy to exercise more...I will get it going. Meanwhile, I am still hanging tough on the diet front. I had some serious fast food/junk food cravings today, but I overcame :)

I still need to work on my mid afternoon snack cravings. I find it hard to reach into the vege drawer at that time.

I forgot to check in last night. I had my first really grueling day yesterday where I just wanted to scrap it all, diet-wise. I was 80-20 on at least having a 'cheat meal'. I somehow managed to avoid that, and actually did not exceed my calorie goal for the day (with a little help from some undocumented Goldfish at 11:00pm). Anywhoo, I woke up this morning to another .2 loss, which has me mentally back on track.

Good job guys. Mark, I thought for sure you had that cheat meal. Good job not giving in.

Back from Vegas. Fat and bloated. Starting from scratch. Sigh.

I had a pretty awesome day. Got a few things done around the house, did some work for charity, spent lots of quality time with our boy (including the charity work), and got a five mile run in. My eating was solid, and my mood was excellent. High on life, baby!

A good diet day again for me, though I have been eating out quite a bit, and it's not always easy/accurate to track calories when doing so. Nearly died at hockey this afternoon, but got exercise checked off there. We're set to go to Disneyland tomorrow, so unless I try to pull of a miracle, I will be racking up 5K calories tomorrow. C'est la vie.

Ok. I haven't checked in with my ratings lately but I have been overall pretty good. Haven't been too picky with my food but have watched my portions. Although I felt great first week I have been feeling a little tired lately. Don't have the same energy. May have to beef up eating habit. Not sure.

    Past few days:

    Food-3
    Mood/energy -2.5
    Water-4
    Fitness-3.5-4

We didn't get back from Disneyland last night until 1am. I was fully expecting just to say 'F it' for the day. Not only did I not do that, but I actually had an great diet day (a whopping 86 calories of junk food), and since we walked ten miles, came out way below my calorie limit. I was very proud of myself, but dismayed that the scale this morning showed me as 2.6 pounds heavier than yesterday :( Oh well...still proud of myself, and I'm sure that weight will fall back off in the coming days.

Food: 5 (purely for maintaining at a place like DL)
Water: 4 (pretty sure I stayed hydrated in the heat, but it was 90% Diet Coke)

Checking in with my ratings the past few days.

    Fitness: 3
Food: 3 - Had a delicious burger at Prohibition on Friday, but for the most part, I've been keeping around my calorie goal. I went to a birthday dinner at a friend's house on Sunday and was able to hold off from getting a second helping. So I've gotten a little better about portion control.
Water - 4.5 - I drink a ton of water at work during the week, but not as much at home.
Mood/Energy - 2.5 - Blaming it partly on the heat, but I've been tired and sleepy the last few days.

I'm usually pretty good about staying disciplined during the week, so I need to work on being more active on the weekends.

Mark, I'm impressed you were able to keep it under 100 calories at Disneyland. That's a big accomplishment!
Gabe, nice work watching your portions, I know how tough that can be.

Ok. It's been a rough couple of days bc I have not been able to do cardio (knee acting up again). But I have been lifting weights and again monitoring my portions. Here's my report past few days

    Food -3
    Fitness -3
    Energy/Mood -3.5
    Water -4

    Keep it up guys.
