Happy Sunday all!
I can't say thanks enough to everyone just *being* here. I realized earlier last week it had been more than a week since I had walk/jogged! I was shocked after 4 weeks my habit was sliding already! And since I work 13hr shifts 2 days I have to make sure I schedule it in! But yesterday morning I woke up and read the forum here and thought "you have time this morning go move your moneymaker!" And I ended up doing 3.5 miles and swimming at the cottage.
Oh and Hmr I added in 10 pushups 20 bicep curls and 30 squats for good measure! Only took a few minutes.
So thanks everyone for always being here

Happy Sunday Folks!
Goods Job Angela!
By Now I suspect you can verify it Heron; but I think the Yoga was probably a good call.
Howie's FB is killing the trails up in Ohio so keep on jammin' Lad!
Carol Looking forward to hearing about an exciting time at work, Prepping and training for a coming mission has always been a good time for me.
Which takes me to my training, Today was Morning 150 using pushups and Squats, Then Hammer Jammer Happy Half Hour with 35 reps 35lb Kettlebell Swings, 0.7 mi Walk/sprints (4, 50 m), ending with 35 reps 35/35 again. Followed by Sets of Zercher Squats, and Bench Press.
Rain rolled in after that part so later today, if we get the sun back, will do some Shot Put practice. I have a coach, a former all American Hammer and Shot putter from University of Tennessee. Will be meeting him in Dublin Next Saturday for a coaching session. Then again on 5 Sept. competition is on 16 Sep. Not focused on Weight til then.
That being said my Co Worker that Body Builds is signed up for a competition the weekend of Sep 18th. Have had him on a CN'sh protocol for the last 3 weeks (gone from 225 - 14% BF to 214 - 9%) and am moving him to more of a Back loading process for now. Will go back to a CN style 10 days out. He's looking very good and should have him at 6'0" 208lbs with 6-7% BF on competition day. Should have some pics soon.
Some Motivation for the Day, eattoperform.com/2015/08/14/we-are-going-to-war-by-paul-nobles/ Make sure you watch the video at the end.

It is definitely good to have the encouragement of the forums and friends here. Got my tires Friday went for 17 miles yesterday. Going to head out for another 10 or 15 this afternoon. I hope they hold up this time around. It's pretty discouraging when things like that go wrong.0

Gorgeous Howie! Great mileage! You are really on a roll lately. Keep it up!
Hammer- your workouts are so inspiring. I get tired reading them. I'll watch the video asap. You never disappoint.
Angela- that is super sweet of you to thank us. I feel the same way. No matter what happens, I can usually come here for a bit of motivation.0 -
Happy Monday Folks. Morning 150 and then a Stationary Bike Ride with some sprints. Have a great day Folks!0

That was a good article you posted yesterday Hammer. I can agree with the shorts and even the attitude she has. However when you have been as heavy as I have no one wants to see the skin and yes they do judge because I have heard it first hand. She is living in a dream world and probably has not ever been more than a few pounds over weight. Here is a pic of someone and this is what my body looks like and I won't be going around without a shirt.
Carol, Thanks it's been a big help being back here with all of you.
Here is his whole storyhuffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/03/30/weight-loss-story-400-pounds-brian-flemming_n_6970342.html
Here is his pic.

I got my 12 miles in today and doing great with eating. However I did not do great with eating last Friday night. All though I allow for a treat night I still have to watch it so I am not expecting much on the scale. But who knows maybe since I only had a pound last week it might catch up and be good to me. I eat 1800 a day knowing that I could lose on 2000 a day. That way I can allow that extra 1200 calories on Friday to get something good. Trouble is sometimes it ends up being 3000 extra (beer + food) and that is not good. lol0

Happy Wednesday Folks. Doc's went well yesterday have my next follow up in Feb. Then Yearly after that.
Great work Howie. Jam On!
Working in more Exercise Bike time to get my knees flexing more, and low impact sprints, though I've been working on a technique that keeps the foot strike on the balls of the feet instead of the heel. It is making a difference so far.
Hope all is well with all of you.

Angela, that's great, swimming is I think the best exercise!
Howie, I really enjoy seeing pictures of your route. And you've been doing so good on your rides!! Whoop whoop! Keep at it.
John, That's great that CN is working for your friend. Look forward to seeing the pictures.
I I did watch the video but I guess the message missed me haha.
John, wearing 5 finger vibram fixed my running stride. Now I can wear any footwear and I am always walk on the balls.
I'm doing shocking well eating wise, no results yet (sticking to it till the end of the month then I'll re evaluate) but I am surprised that I am not going crazy because I can't have my carby treats. I've quit coffee, just to see if it helps, I don't need coffee to function so stopping isn't a big deal. I do miss the smell and taste. Only going to do it for 2-3 weeks.
And yep, I did strain my lower back, thinking back, I knew exactly what happened. I was doing kettlebell swings and I was getting tired but instead of dropping the weight I told myself to finish the set. Which I did then proceeded to finish other kettlebell exercises. I was probably doing the swing in bad form, max weight. Not a good combo. So this week is all about walking and yoga, I have been doing 20-30 minutes yoga and it has helped. I'll probably do longer sessions rest of the week.
I've started adding 10min runs to the end of my walk, its more for Rosie as I am conditioning her for the sledding season hence the longer walks recently.

Happy Thursday Folks. Not much new here.
Heron - I love my vibrams been wearing them for a couple years now. May well be one of he reasons my knees are doing a bit better. (Now if I could get this extra 40 lbs off em they might even be happy) Yoga is a good idea for healing time.
All righty folks work hard have fun but above all B Koo-EL!

Howie, you gots this!
I am slowly upping my calories, I think i am off in My TDEE? It's more of a last ditch resort. I've been eating avg 1500k for a while now and nothing has budge and after doing several online calculator saying I should eat around 1800-2000 I'm going to up it. I think I've lost weight 1.5years ago eating 2000k but that was doing ULC.. We'll see what happens0 -
Sounds like everyone is doing FAB! Go Team Go!0

Happy Friday Folks!0

Well Guys, I've been consistently & diligently "moving my moneymaker" to the tune of 100 miles in a 30 day period. I'm part of a wonderful organization called 'I run for Michael .' They partner 'athletes' with Special Needs Children & Adults, who act as Coaches/Buddies. We dedicate our workouts to them ... It provides such heartwarming motivation & helps keep me going. Have a fab Friday, Dear Ones! ~DebSue0

Nice DebSue! 100 miles is great!
The scales were good to me this week. I dropped 4 more. Have a great weekend everyone!0 -
Still doing yoga and body weight exercise. No change in the scale I've been stuck at the 172-178 range for 6months. On the plus side, I've been consistently on the lower 170s so we'll see how the eating more works out.
Tonight we are going to a friend's granddaughter college send off party. It's at a pizza place, but they do have wings so I'm hoping not to eat pizza.0 -
Happy Saturday Folks! Getting ready to ride up to Dublin today (2hr dr) to get a coaching session in on my Shot put technique. So gonna do my morning 150 before I hit the road.
Heron - I'm in the 275-285 bouncy house. Not thinking much about it til after the Golden age Olympics, but not eating out of whack, just not focused.
Great Work Howie and Deb sue! Keep it rolling!0 -
At least you two are maintaining! That is way better than the alternative. Good job on that. I got a great 21 and a half mile ride in today 2700 calories burned. it is a beautiful day here in Ohio.

You ALL Inspire me in your own unique ways! Thank you specifically Heron, Hammer & Howie for your faithfulness in posting. I am challenging myself to "Shoot The Scale September" next month, as I can allow that silly measuring device to have TOO MUCH power over me! I want to be FREE, fun, faith-filled & fab in every area of life (& this includes any obsession over weight, food & body image). I'm feeling determined & empowered to succeed Hugs to you all. ~DebSue0

Hammer – just keep leading us. Can't wait for you to lead us in person in October!
And I almost had a girl chat with DebSue you this week. We are going to do it, whether we get it recorded for the show or not.
