Help! Started to Plateau!

I'm 1 year and 6 months out from surgery and I've started to plateau. I gave birth in April (16-weeks early) and I was easily able to loose all my baby weight 20+ pounds plus an additional 10lbs and suddenly my body refuses to just drop another 5-10 more pounds. Any suggestions? I'm going to try upping my water intake and I' going to try and go at least 24-25% (from 20%) for my protein intake....I'm also walking and running (alternatively) as well. Should I try different exercises? Thinking about yoga or pure barre

How much do you have to lose to get to goal? I'm a little less than 20 lbs away (at 164, wanting down to 145) and I'm down to only a couple pounds per month loss. And at that, I only *see* that loss on the scale if I'm really careful about watching water intake and recovery time when I exercise. It's amazing how much water your body will hold onto when you're exercising strenuously (like a new running program or weight training) and your muscles are repairing.
I don't know that yoga will help you lose weight, but it sure will make you feel good! Nothing beats a good stretch class.0 -
I'm about 14 months out from surgery and I've been only losing one to two pounds per month, but I am noticing I'm still changing shape. While I don't see the loss on the scale, I see it in the way my clothing fits.
I set my goal, and I've got about 15 pounds until I reach it, and don't know if I ever will. I'm partially convinced there's about 10 pounds of excess skin hanging around, so I'm actually ok with where I'm at. I feel good, and I'm still following plan, though changing it up occasionally to give my body a little jolt.
Everyone says don't pay attention to the scale, but I find that difficult. I feel like if I don't watch the scale, then I will easily slip backwards.
I started yoga recently and it helps make you feel relaxed and stretched out. Plus I noticed that with a recent change to my exercise regime, adding a good long hike on a trail once a week is also changing my body shape. I think it's important to give our bodies variety, so that it doesn't get "used" to one thing and then just stay stagnant.0
