Hey everybody. Well, November isn't starting all that great. Food wise, I'm trying but I have yet to get out and walk (bad Jen!!!!!). Just finished listening to the Vegas Tough Mudder recap podcast. Wow, those people I hung out with are AWESOMETASTIC!!!! I think y'all need to come to Chicago in May. Just sayin'!

I gotta get my butt out this afternoon after work and get a mile or so in. I'm not going to try to push it (funny I say that after pushing it for 10 miles in the freakin' desert!!!).

To everybody that's setting some goals, you know I'm rooting for ya! What is that saying? Oh yes, WE GOT THIS!!!!

About 12 weeks till my run n gun, training has to kick into high gear now. Still trying to decide what all I am doing other than strength training, think I will stick with run / walk intervals rather than any true jogging though.

    Today I did this http://youtu.be/_7fHGwLS8Y0
    And a stretching video.
Kevin, glad your training is going well. Interval are better than jogging so you are on the right track. May I suggest exercise that strengthen your lower back, calves and ankle. Important but often overlook since you'll be carrying a load on uneven terrain (not pavement) keep us posted!

Jen, I watched your recap. Great summary of events.
Yeah Jen you did 10 miles in high desert, everything else is easy after that. :p
I hope you walked today, if not you still have time to do a 10 min video or just some planks/couple of Mat Pilates exercise even a few minutes is something, it'll help your mindset. You gots this! I believe in you! <3

    How's everybody doing?
We need to stay strong and focus for the upcoming holiday season (easier said than done lol) I don't want to slip like last year :'(

Thanks Heron. Oh jeez, Carol's been sharing that out? LOL!!! No, I didn't walk last night unfortunately. I ended up trying to finish that darn video and struggling!!!! SOOOOO much awesome footage that I don't want to leave any out, but I don't want an hour long video either. I'm going to try to get it all finished up tonight. What a great time again and so awesome to get to meet you and Arturo (along with Carol's friends Bill and Carolina).

Still slow going here. Tiny steps.

    Good Morning!

After a stretch of 5 days (I know the "regular" work week is 5 days long but that's a long one for me!) I'm finally off today! Yay! The weather here is amazing this week and looks like it will stay this way again today so I'm going for a walk. I have a huge "to-do" list but it might not get done... we'll see!

I actually have already put in one workout this week though - kettlebell swings! Did them yesterday before going to work. They are not easy that's for sure! And having the Up move does make me much more aware of my movement. Interesting to note that at one store I struggle to break 4000 steps, but I get an easy 6000 at the other. (Yes, it is much larger, but really seems shocking!)

Heron - I know I can't commit to 5 videos per week :( But I did look them up, along with a free yoga website I found so that's great info and thanks!

Angela, do what you can ;) just keep moving, like I said before it's just to get me back into a routine again. Even if it's 10min.
Kettlebell is fun! Fitnessblender has a few Kettlebell workouts as well. I like the "beginner's Kettlebell" video.
I Only feel like doing a short video today. But it's still something.

My Foster is getting adopted tomorrow, she's a good one, I will miss her!!! she came into our home a wild little thing but the sweetest wild lil thing! Turns out underneath all that is the sweetest, most affectionate and smartest husky we've yet fosteted. She has touched the hearts of Arturo and I. I'm sure she will fill her new family's home with joy and laughter as she did with ours. Dogs like her reminds us why we Foster, she didn't make it to the shelter's adoption and would've been put down if nobody come forward to rescue her.
Let's hope her and and her new cat sister can co exist. uvnh8swcimbr.jpeg
