I'd just like to say, you do NOT have to set 20 pounds as your goal. Depending on your fitness level and where you're at with your current goal, you can set it lower. The point of this group is not for it to be a competition amongst each other. Maybe with ourselves, but not with each other. This is meant to just be a supportive group to keep each other focused and on our way to our goals, whatever that may be.

20 pounds will not be easy for everyone! It'll take a lot of hard work and dedication! You'll have to lose roughly 1.6 pounds a week. You will have to commit to this and make it your lifestyle! Do not starve yourself. Be mindful of the things you put in your body but remember that not all calories are created equal! Sure, you may stay under your calorie goal for the day but just because you got away with having 2 donuts for breakfast and McDonald's for lunch doesn't mean you'll get to where you want to be. However, I'm not saying to never indulge either because you should! I do! But in moderation. Once you're in this lifestyle, you may actually find it hard to eat the greasy, sugar packed foods you used to eat because of how they make you feel afterwards. Your "indulgences" might change. You may have rewarded yourself with a "cheat meal" before but now you may find you'd rather have a new pair of jeans or work out clothes or a massage rather than food.

You'll find that this change will end up being so much more than just your body. The confidence and the energy you gain from losing is incredible! Your mindset changes for the better. You're happier! Things you never thought you could do, you just accomplished. Example, to get to my desk at work, there are two flights of stairs. One day I was in a rush and I ran up the stairs, got to my desk and sat down and realized I wasn't out of breath. Not at all. I was so excited and it really set the tone for my day. Such a small thing but I used to get winded just walking up the stairs. You'll have many, many small accomplishments and it'll give you a little push every time. But you have to want this. You have to fully set your mind to it. I hope you're all ready! I can give little pushes and I can help guide you and give you tips on what's worked for me but that will only take you so far. I can't force you to workout. I can't supervise everything you're eating. That's on you. And everybody is different so what works for me may not work for you. Read articles, learn about your body and why it works the way it does, what it needs, how it processes food. Learn new exercises and try new things. You might find that something you thought you would hate, you actually enjoy. If it's hard, but not injuring you, push forward. Change comes from change. I wish you all the best! If you need some extra support or motivation, feel free to message me!
