Starting StrongLifts...

I hit a plateau quite a while back even though I'm in the gym at least 3-5 days a week. Decided to start the StrongLifts 5x5 yesterday. Started with suggested weight, but I'm disappointed that I don't have a squat rack at my gym... or an olympic bar... I've been doing deadlifts with the curl bar and squats on the smith or with zbarbell... I've been searching for 2 days for a gym close to me with a squat bar... Wish me luck on finding one soon! Anyway, I need all the input I can get, so fire away! :)

    I've been doing front squats and goblet squats as there was no rack where I am either. They might be an alternative depending on how heavy you lift. Good luck in finding somewhere better.

    Hi! I just started strong lifts this morning. Went to the gym early to avoid the crowds and figure out the equipment! I started at suggested weights but found I was really struggling with the squats! You must be 3 weeks in now? How is it going? Did you find a better-equipped gym?
