I woke up, smelled the coffee, ate the donuts, gained the weight. I will be 65 in April and I want to be the best I can!

These days 65 can be a vibrant age. A time when we can focus on ourselves, understand life with more wisdom than ever before and take advantage of senior discounts. I'm not there yet (turning 59 this month) but I envision a joyful, peaceful time ahead. Please friend me if you wish. I login daily and offer my friends frequent support. There are a lot of nice people in this group, I am glad you found us. Welcome!0

I love the positive words in this group. Excited to be a part of it! Anyone can friend me. I give support, but I also hold people accountable.0

Welcome! Glad you're with us. Each week, we start a new thread where we commit to something; it can be anything from diet, to exercise, to spiritual/emotional work that will help move you forward on the path to health and well-being. It's pretty laid back in that there are no hardcore challenges, but it's a place to offer and receive support and encouragement to keep going.0

Thanks! I know I didn't put it on overnight. Slow and steady!0

It's never too late to start something that is so great for you. I turned 30 this year and I decided I wanted to tackle this head on before it becomes too difficult to lose it. My father had open heart surgery at the end of May (he's 50) and I swore that wasn't going to be me.0

I started training more at the beginning of the year. I was 36, totally unfit, lazy, fat and eating far too much. Not even 12 months down the line, I am nearly at goal weight, constantly amazed at all my muscles, enjoy healthy food in appropriate quantities, accused of being obsessed with training, loving my time with all my new friends, loving life thanks to the abundance of endorphins and able to do things I would never have thought possible. Go for it!0

Great motivation for others! Congrats on the success.0 -
Thanks. I never thought I would achieve what I have, never mind be an encouragement for others.0
