Holidays!

As a Facebook poster pointed out - from November 1 to January 15 there are approximately 29 holidays observed by the world's major religions. So I assume that is excluding the non-religious holidays like Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve/Day, and even Veterans Day falls in there (although not a holiday known for feasting!). So - I wish everyone a happy holiday season - religious or secular!

But those feasting holidays!! So far I have made it through a family wedding, Thanksgiving, and the fancy work holiday party! I did well at all of them! Except the wedding, at each I had 2 bites of dessert. The regular food was really a no brainer as all had plenty of proteins. At the work party I even had seared duck breast and a little bit of sushi (tuna and crab I think). And couple of bites of carb items at Thanksgiving, potatoes and stuffing. All in all I think I did really well. Luckily everything was buffet so I wasn't having to refuse anything. And as my husband pointed out as I was eyeing the cupcakes - they don't taste as good as skinny is going to feel!

I hope everyone is doing well!

Somehow I totally missed this until now! So far so good for me. Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE and NY Day are going to be the challenges for me. They are days centered around food. I have a plan for Xmas E/D I just have to stick to it. I'll focus on a plan for NYE/D on December 26th!

Hope everyone has a happy holiday season!

We decided to blow off Christmas and are headed to a Cancun all-inclusive! I'm actually not too concerned with the food (buffet, etc). I can't eat a ton so it is not like I'm going to stuff my face. I just need to make sure I pick up proteins and eat that first. I might have a cocktail or two though! Even though my surgeon said to wait six months. But I'll be careful. And I figure I am going to get a lot more exercise with walking and what not. I might even hit the gym!

So I didn't hit the gym, but I did beginner yoga and water aerobics once each :) My weight remained flat, which I was perfectly happy with.
