Losing HR during spinning

I've worn the Charge HR spinning a few times. The first few it seemed very close to what I see on a chest strap. Today, though, it kept dropping the heartrate altogether, or showing a BPM in the mid 70s when I was actually near peak, around 150. I even took it off, dried it and my arm off, and put it back on, but the problem persisted. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out what's up?

I only invested in a Charge HR on Saturday, but I go to spin class once a week so I'll be interested to see if this happens.

I've noticed this happening to me here and there during intense workouts. Sometimes it's helped me to take my Fitbit off (too sweaty!!), wipe it down a bit, and put it back on.

Some on Fitbit's site were successful strapping it to their ankle to get a good reading of HR.

Worthless for steps though because it's only 1 foot going down.
