Having a rough morning took a look in the mirror and noticed I have lost the cottage cheese thighs but now have the granny *kitten*. You know where there are all those wrinkles between where your butt and leg meet. Any suggestions on exercises to get rid of the granny butt would be greatly appreciated.

I have been doing well with exercising every day even if it's been modified due to weather.
I did have a soda yesterday have to make sure that doesn't turn into a regular habit.
    back to water, water, water
plenty of protein close but not close enough lately

Yesterday was a total fail on diet and exercise but I knew that going in. It was my rest day and my son in laws birthday so we had the family over for supper and cake.

Today I have a Dead Cold Run zombie invasion run and then a gym workout.

However, feeling very down today for some reason. My weight has been up for over a week and it's starting to get to me I guess. I'm going to try and dial in my diet even tighter and see what it does. One big issue for me is I have IBS and suffer from chronic constipation, and recently have been diagnosed with anemia so have to take iron on daily basis. This took the constipation to an even higher level. So this leads to weight gain due to no pooping (TMI lol) lots of pain and discomfort. I use plenty of OTC's, flaxseed, lots of berries and water but to no avail. Anyway, nothing I can do but my best I guess.

    Today's goals:
    5 k run
    Upper body workout
    Healthy within calories eating
    Water
    Good rest

Happy Family Day to all that celebrate it here in Canada!

@kenda2427, keep plugging and chugging away...weight will come off..it eventually does. I hate the scale almost daily until it tells me something good, but you are doing what you need to do for your body, so hang in there!

Yesterday was a rest day and I think today might be as well. Back is still out, so I want to rest up as much as possible. Today will be to eat at my cals or a little under with not being able to exercise or move much today...just praying for the best!

Today...must hit water intake! Rest up and eat to the macros! Happy President's Day and yay if you are off work today!

    Good morning everyone!!!

@2020pinktogo, those creases will eventually go away as you loose more fat. To help with shaping your behind, it would be ideal to plump up your glute muscles with targeted strength training. Think glute bridges, hip thrusts, lunges, Romanian deadlifts ( RDL) and single leg RDL's. Check up on Bret Contreras( the glute guy), I'm seriously recommending him to everyone. His book Strong Curves is serious business!

@Kenda2427 I know how you feel and the way I see it you have 2 options: ignore the scale and just do your best. Fat loss is can happen successfully without the scale's knowledge.
Fun fact; When fat cells empty out the energy stored, they can temporarily soak up water, making us weigh more while loosing fat :)
Option 2 is to give yourself a little break and eat a bit more for a while. This should rebalance your hormones, help alleviate stress and possibly help with constipation. Meanwhile, do try different ailments for your digestion system starting with mild ones first: prebiotics, probiotics, flora building foods etc.

@CourtLloyd I hope you feel better soon and your back will be fully recovered. Enjoy your day off !!!

Yesterday,I really outdid myself in the kitchen. Made from scratch pasta, shrimp scampi, garlic bread... It was delicious but unfortunately I'm gluten intolerant and even though I didn't plan to eat the pasta and bread, I couldn't help myself from trying them :#
Stomach cramps and inflammation was my reward... Let's just say I have no desire to flirt with gluten anytime soon.
Today is not a rest day but more a recovery day, I want to stick to my basic activities and give my body a chance to flush out the toxins.
    Let's have a fabulous Monday!!!!

@Kenda2427 The struggle is real. I am hypothyroid so weight comes off very slowly and any hormonal imbalance sends me through the roof. Constipation is common with hypothyroid and for many years I dealt with it. Believe or not...I had a seaweed wrap which helped restore my lymphatic system and really helped with the constipation issues. In order to keep the ball rolling so to speak, I make sure everyday to get as close as I can to 30grams of fiber and 12 glasses of water. I know it seems like a lot but it is the only way I can be regular. Not sure about IBS..but for me flaxseed was a no, my body just retained, retained, retained with that stuff even though they say it's great for the eyes. I make sure my vitamin D is good especially in the winter, I get enough fats, and also chia seeds helped me quite a bit, 1 tbsp. Try taking the iron which also has vitamin c tablet too. Hope you find a diet that works for you! Keep looking and listening. It is definitely not a one size fits all!
