Seen as my charge doesn't log calories correctly from intense workouts...

I took it off and wore my polar ft4. When I finished my workout, I manually logged it on the Fitbit app and I that I had burnt 400 calories from the workout. Why on earth has it only increased my daily calories by 250 instead of the 400? I just got the Fitbit a week ago so am still getting to grips with it. If I manually add workout calories, do they automatically become included in daily calories burnt?

I'd recommend you read the FAQ found in the stickies. Exercise calories that you log (either manually, or automatically with your Fitbit) are not the same as your "Fitbit Calorie Adjustment" that you see in MFP.
Yes, the workout that you manually log gets included in your calories burned in Fitbit (your TDEE). Fitbit just sends total calories burned to MFP, which does a calculation on it to compute your adjustment. You may have burned 400 calories during your workout, but been less active than your MFP activity level the rest of the day, resulting in a smaller adjustment.0
