Fitbit Flex Bracelet

Hey all,

I've been using a Fitbit Flex for about a year now and I just noticed that the bracelet is coming apart around the edges of where you insert the tracker. It looks like it won't be long before it's in pieces, so I'm looking for a new one. I'd fork out the $15 for the original but the official shop tells me it's $7 to be shipped to Germany. That's a bit silly.

So I was looking around and it seems it'll be hard to find in local retail. Can anyone recommend any German / European online stores that charge less shipping?

Alternatively, I saw some super-cheap unofficial bracelets on Amazon and I was wondering what your experiences were with those. I guess at less than $1 for some of them, the quality won't be great but I wonder if it could be so much worse than the original that only lasted a year?!

Thanks everyone and sorry if I missed any similar existing threads.

I bought a ton of them on Amazon, I like the brand Ismile - They have a good clasp, and come in variety of colors and designs.
I bought a pack of ten multi colored ones, they were super stiff, I didn't like them, I don't recall the name of those though. sorry.

I think the ones I bought were ismile as well - no issues so far and I bought a 3-pack in November or so when my 2nd original band started peeling apart.

The ismile ones I got don't have a tint over where the activity lights are, so they just shine through as white. I did like that the official blue band would tint the lights blue, etc, but I sure wasn't paying more for it!

I say go for it :) The unofficial ones aren't going to harm the tracker.

another vote for iSmile... and I'm impressed that your band lasted a year. My second one (I can wear either a small or a large) broke at about the 11-month point. Got a 3-pack of the textured iSmile ones and have been happy with them.

When the bracelet of my Flex broke the same way after around a year I emailed Fitbit with photos of it. I told them I felt sad because I enjoyed using it very much. They sent me a new one free of charge

ETA: a new bracelet that is - not the whole Flex!

Thanks for the reply, guys. I decided to give it a go. One of the sellers gives a discount if you buy three or more, so even if they don't last very long, I'll be set for a while. :)

@Maryanne1923 Wow, that's great service! I didn't know FB were so good about it.
