QOD: do you track the calories you burn when doing strength training via HRM?

I stopped by at the fitness forums and the question of the day was whether or not to track strength training calories via HRMs. I currently use my Apple Watch but now I'm thinking I shouldn't even bother since it might be hindering my weight loss. What do you think?

From what I understand, HRM are really best for steady state cardio, and don't work well for lifting. I don't track, but I use TDEE, so I'm not a good example :P0

I have been tracking my exercise calories with HRM for a year. Both for cardio and lifting. It is working for me.0

Thanks all. I've made the decision to not add activity for strength training to see if it will make a difference with my weight.0
